Michael Maxwell, D.D.S.

Dr. Maxwell grew up on a small ranch in Cost Mesa California. He enrolled in the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry near Redlands California and graduated in 1968. In 1969 he moved to Alaska with his wife and only planned on staying for five years. After experiencing the charm and beauty Alaska has to offer, the two of them couldn’t bring themselves to leave and they are now proud to call Alaska their home. Thirty years ago Dr. Maxwell started his practice and he is now an active member of the local, state and national Dental Societies. He has attended many continuing education courses and has advanced training in dental lasers and conscious sedation. Cosmetic dentistry is a large part of why he loves dentistry so much because he gets to help patients achieve their optimum dental health in a gentle, caring way. He is excited to be a part of the team at Alaska Center for Dentistry Anchorage.

Dr. Gagliano, D.D.S.

photo Dr. Gagliano's Bio photo 2015A native of Louisiana and a 1989 graduate of Loyola University, I graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1995. After graduation, I moved to the Navajo Indian Reservation in Ganado, Arizona and worked at Sage Memorial Hospital. I also traveled to the remote dental clinics on the reservation, taking care of Native Americans in the rural communities who were unable to come to the hospital. During my 2 years in Arizona, I was also mentored in pediatric dentistry with patients in and outside of the operating room. I moved to Anchorage in 1997 and have had the privilege and honor to serve in many different arenas within the dental field including Forensic Dentistry, private practice, and as the Dental Director of the Council of Athabascan Tribal Governments in Fort Yukon. I also have served on the faculty of LSU School of Dentistry and with the Dental Assisting Program for UAA as a Clinical Instructor.

My profession has allowed me to provide dental care to those who would otherwise not have been able to receive it. I have participated in mission trips to China and Fiji, and enjoy participating in local dental outreach programs as well.

I have been practicing dentistry for 20 years and will continue to provide the highest quality of dental care and clinical performance for my patients. I have a commitment to my patients to provide the best possible dental experience, along with compassion and understanding of their personal dental needs. I believe that establishing a relationship of mutual trust and respect is essential in creation a great doctor/patient relationship.
In my personal life, when I am not practicing dentistry, I am a mom of two teenage boys. Boys that keep me busy with everything from band performances to athletic events. I love to cook and enjoy time with my family in this beautiful state we live in. Always ready for the next great adventure, I enjoy flying, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, skiing, snow machining and travel.
