C. Michael Sage Sr., D.D.S.
I attended Indiana University School of Dentistry. I was active in the United States Air Force on Elmendorf for four years, and taught at the L.D. Pankey institute for over 20 years. I enjoy flying, hunting, fishing, skiing, and being a part of the Boy Scouts of America. I founded this practice in 1977, and have been working here ever since. I truly enjoy the interaction with our patients. Providing high quality dentistry for them is very satisfying and rewarding for me.
Barbara Churchill, D.D.S.
I attended Ohio State University for all of my schooling. I began my career in dentistry as a registered Dental Hygienist, and worked for thirteen years before deciding to become a dentist. The youngest of my three sons was in first grade when I decided to go back to school. I graduated Suma Cum Laude in 1978 from Ohio State, and began my private practice that I had for over thirty years.
During that time I was a faculty Member at OSU Dental School. Two and a half years ago I sold my practice and moved from Ohio, where I lived my whole life, to Alaska looking for something new. So far, I am absolutely loving it. In my free time, I like cooking, sewing, decorating, gardening, and working on my home built 1935 International Pickup. Now that I’m living in Alaska I’ve added skiing, snowshoeing, dancing, tent camping, and fishing to the list! I really enjoy working with the patients at Alaska Center for Dentistry Anchorage. Our staff is so attentive to the needs of our patients that it makes it a wonderful place to work.
Michael Maxwell, D.D.S
I grew up on a small ranch in Cost Mesa California. I enrolled in the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry near Redlands California and graduated in 1968. In 1969 my wife and I moved to Alaska only planning on staying for five years. After experiencing the charm and beauty Alaska has to offer, we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave and we are now proud to call Alaska our home. Thirty years ago I started my practice and I am an active member of the local, state and national Dental Societies. I have attended many continuing education courses and have advanced training in dental lasers and conscious sedation. Cosmetic dentistry is a large part of why I love dentistry so much because I get to help patients achieve their optimum dental health in a gental, caring way. I am excited to be a part of the team at Alaska Center for Dentistry Anchorage.

Ken Lim, D.D.S.
Dr. Lim grew up in the Hawaiian Islands, and moved back to the lower 48 for college. He originally had a career in the medical field as an x-ray technologist and a medical lab technologist but wanted to have more involvement with patients so he decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Lim attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry; while there he had the opportunity to participate in 10 overseas mission projects. He was able to bring free dental service to people in Romania, Bangladesh, Honduras and Mexico. Dr. Lim wanted to continue his adventures, so he moved to Alaska where he has worked in the bush for the Native Health Service and in Fairbanks in private practice. His hobbies include cooking, biking and computers. He is learning to adapt to the Alaskan winter lifestyle and has started to pick up snow machining and skiing. Dr. Lim’s goal as a dentist is to provide quality dentistry and tailor treatment that will fit into the various lifestyles of the patients at Alaska Center for Dentistry.
Paul Hopkins, D.D.S.
Dr. Paul Hopkins D.D.S. is a native Texan having graduated from the University of Texas at Houston Dental Branch. He knew at the age of 8 years old, because of a schoolyard accident that damaged his front teeth, that he wanted to choose dentistry as his profession. A kind dentist took him out of pain and Dr. Hopkins decided that he wanted to help people in that way also.
Dr. Hopkins has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to learn the latest techniques in dentistry. He also has extensive experience in root canal therapy, extractions, dentures, crowns, composite fillings, and orthodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the Academy and also served as president of the Utah Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Hopkins and his wife Kathy have a large family and enjoy spending time with children and grandchildren, camping and traveling in their motorhome. He has practiced in Texas and Utah, loves Alaska, and hopes to spend his remaining years here.
